Seattle Met’s Best Things to See and Do in Winter in Seattle – #9: Drink Jive Espresso Stout!
As we face day eight of straight rain in Seattle, it’s hard not to wonder why in the world we live here. But then, Seattle Metropolitan comes along to remind us of all the great reasons why — even in the winter — we love this place so much.
In their December issue, an article titled “Best Things to See and Do in Winter in Seattle” highlights just that — 21 great reasons not to stay inside and hibernate November – March. The list includes everything from Canadian comfort food and New Year’s Day Polar Bear Plunge to five places to find 70+ degree weather (I’m definitely guilty of going to hot yoga, closing my eyes and pretending I’m somewhere tropical).
Here’s one of my favorites: #9 – We Never Have to Drink the Same Seasonal Beer Twice.
Not only is it true — Seattle really does feature one of the best winter beer selections around — but Seattle Met included one of my favorite beers in their roundup: Two Beers Brewing‘s Jive Espresso Stout. Featuring locally-roasted Kuma Coffee, this surprisingly light stout has just the right balance of coffee and chocolate, and is available through February. Sounds like the perfect way to get through the rainy winter months to me!
