Come out and play! Frolik Kitchen + Cocktails – the new restaurant and bar set to open at 1415 5th Avenue in Downtown Seattle – opens Friday, April 19 offering a social dining experience unlike any other. Located on the fifth floor of the Red Lion Hotel Fifth Avenue building above the hustle and bustle of the streets below, guests of Frolik will enjoy delicious food from breakfast to dinner, the city’s largest outdoor deck, an all-evening happy hour, games such as shuffleboard and Ping-Pong, and more in a modern and engaging space that promises to unleash the youthful side in all of us.

“Frolik is what Downtown Seattle has been waiting for,” said Carrie Dietz, Director of Fun at Frolik Kitchen + Cocktails. “Inviting, open spaces paired with fresh, fun libations and inventive fare encourage our guests to leave all their troubles behind. Whether they’re on the shuffleboard court, hosting a lunch meeting or relaxing by the firewall, Frolik offers Downtown a fresh new way to mix, mingle and socialize.”

Under the direction of award-winning Chef Shailu Salian, Frolik shakes up the traditional approach to Regional American food by adding a signature Northwest Pacific flair to every dish. Offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as convenient Frolik OUT to-go options, this new hotspot offers something for every Downtown worker, happy hour seeker and out-of-town guest. From breakfast items such as crab benedict with potato leek hash and pistachio brioche french toast to dinner dishes including lamb sliders with tomato jam and roasted rainbow carrots with braised greens, guests of Frolik will find fare to suit every appetite and occasion. For those on the go, order from the convenient Frolik OUT counter or pick up one of the freshly made grab-and-go options. Whenever possible, Frolik partners with local purveyors such as Taylor Shellfish Farms, Salumi Salami, Beecher’s Cheese and more to offer dishes designed to showcase the vibrant flavors of the Pacific Northwest.

In addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner, an all-evening happy hour menu takes the guesswork out of where to go. From 4-10 pm every evening, guests can choose from a delicious selection of $5 shareable plates, $5 cocktails, and $4.50 beer and featured wine. Happy hour includes food items such as smoked salmon deviled eggs, grape goat cheese pistachio bon-bons, bacon wrapped dates and bourbon bacon popcorn, paired with local craft beer and wine. For those looking for libations, Frolik features an impressive selection of local Washington beer and wine, as well as a custom cocktail program, carefully crafted by the talented Mike McSorley. Choose from more than a dozen delicious drinks including the Charge It, Effie! (vodka, Clear Creek Pear Williams Eau De Vie, lemon juice, ginger syrup, St. Germain, Peychauds bitters, cava), Frolik Fizz (Aquavit, Crème De Cassis, lemon juice, egg white, ginger beer, cinnamon) and more.
