New Year, New Cupcakes: Trophy Cupcakes Introduces New Gluten Free Almond Cake and Expands Gluten Free Offerings!

Satisfy your sweet tooth and your new year’s resolution to go gluten free with exciting new offerings from Trophy Cupcakes and Party! As Seattle’s most celebrated cupcake bakery, Trophy Cupcakes began introducing gluten free flavors just over a year ago, starting with Red Velvet and a host of chocolate-based gluten free cupcakes. Now with a large gluten free following and increased demand for additional flavors, Trophy Cupcakes is expanding its gluten free offerings and introducing a new almond cake – a recipe more than a year of development – taking the form of Cherries Jubilee for the month of January.

“It’s rare to find a gluten-free cupcake that’s not red velvet or chocolate based -– especially one that tastes this good,” said Trophy Cupcakes co-founder Jennifer Shea. “We spent a lot of time not only perfecting the recipe for this almond cake, but also a lot of time taste tasting. We wanted the cake to shine for all those who enjoyed it, gluten free or not.”

Trophy’s new gluten free almond cake is made with a special blend of almond flour and Maninis Gluten Free flour, resulting in a flavorful and moist cake. Baked to perfection, this new, delicious cake makes its debut in the form of Cherries Jubilee, a decedent gluten free cupcake filled with Trophy’s housemade brandied cherry sauce. Topped off with cherry buttercream, a brandied cherry and a sprinkling of edible gold glitter, this new creation is so good it was selected as Trophy’s new January flavor of the month. Available throughout the month at all Trophy Cupcake locations, its sure to make your taste buds – gluten free or not – very happy!

The new cake also allows for the expansion of Trophy’s everyday gluten free cupcake offerings. All Trophy locations (excluding stadiums) will feature a selection of three different gluten free cupcakes every day. In addition to Cherries Jubilee (January only), find Red Velvet, Samoa, Salted Caramel, Neapolitan, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate Vanilla, Triple Chocolate and Chocolate Espresso Bean in gluten free varieties, rotating availability throughout the week. New almond cake based cupcakes will be announced and available as developed.
