New Client: Seattle Craft Distillery 3 Howls Releases New Rye Whiskey – May 29

Welcome to my newest client: 3 Howls Distillery! I’m thrilled to be working with these guys and spreading the word about their amazing lineup of spirits. My new go-to cocktail is the 3 Howls Blood Orange Vodka and club soda with a touch of lime. An easy and delicious twist on the standard vodka soda, and oh so refreshing on these beautiful days we’ve been having. Join me at the release of their new Rye Whiskey this Thursday (details below) or pick up a bottle of any their 12 delicious offerings throughout Seattle area retailers. Cheers!

3 Howls Distillery – the rapidly expanding craft distillery located in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood – is excited to announce the release of its new Rye Whiskey. The 12th spirit to join the 3 Howls lineup since their opening last summer, this noteworthy rye whiskey offers a hint of smokiness paired with slightly sweet rye palate and an unexpected finish. Now available in stores throughout Seattle, whiskey lovers are invited to celebrate the spirit’s launch with specialty cocktails, giveaways and more on Thursday, May 29 at The Whisky Bar in Belltown.

“I’ve been meticulously working on the recipe for our Rye Whiskey since we opened last summer, adjusting it time and time again to get it just right,” said Will Maschmeier, founder and head distiller at 3 Howls Distillery. “I’m a big fan of classic cocktails, which includes a good Manhattan and Old Fashioned, so a standout Rye Whiskey was a must for 3 Howls.”

Rich amber in color, this spirit is complex and compelling with a bit of the unexpected. Immediately greeted with a nose of warm smokiness, imbibers will enjoy a flavor that surprises and lingers from start to finish, without overpowering the palate. The perfect union of sweet and spice, soft vanilla combines with a hint of honey, wrapped around a light rye spice note. Loosely based off of George Washington’s original Rye Whiskey, our blend is a classic with a twist, featuring a corn heavy Rye grain bill and specialty beer barley to give it a unique chocolate finish. Coming in at 88 proof (44 percent ABV), 3 Howls Rye Whiskey is great on the rocks or in the perfect Old Fashioned, and adds an exciting twist to any whiskey-based cocktail.

Grab the first sip on Thursday, May 29 at The Whisky Bar in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood. Beginning at 5pm, enjoy specialty cocktails featuring 3 Howls Rye Whiskey, as well as a host of other 3 Howls spirits (Hopped Whiskey, Navy Strength Gin, Blood Orange Vodka and more!). Meet the distillers behind the growing distillery and stick around for your chance to win t-shirts, hats and other 3 Howls gear.

Opening just nine months ago in the heart of Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood, 3 Howls spirits can now be found throughout Washington, Oregon and parts of Idaho.
